Why I’m Building to1

published on 22 July 2025

TL:DR Its because I’m Tired of Wasting Time on Stuff That Doesn’t Matter

This isn’t some master plan. This is frustration turned into a product.

Over the last decade building software, I’ve kept running into the same wall — again and again — whether as an engineer, a manager, or now as a founder:

We waste ridiculous amounts of time translating ideas into specs, into wireframes, into designs, into code.

Everyone pretends this is normal.

It’s not normal. It’s just accepted inefficiency.

The Problem Isn’t Speed. It’s Waste.

I’m not building to1 because I think devs need to “move fast.”

Honestly? Moving fast is easy. Shipping garbage faster is easy.

The problem is how much waste we create:

  • Handoffs between PMs, designers, and devs
  • Repeating the same conversations over specs and workflows
  • Rebuilding the same pages and roles and permissions and dashboards
  • Writing docs no one reads
  • Losing knowledge between Notion, Figma, GitHub, Linear, Slack… pick your poison

The problem isn’t lack of tools. It’s that none of them talk to each other.

The flow from “idea” to “shipped” is still broken, slow, and dumb.

What to1 Is Trying to Do

I’m not building an AI agent. I’m not building another design system.

I’m building a Product Studio in a box — not for agencies, but for founders and devs who want to build faster and smarter without wasting months.

Here’s the dream:

  • Auto-generated wireframes from your product ideas.
  • Auto-drafted specs so you stop writing the same thing twice.
  • Re-usable design systems, not starting from scratch.
  • Pre-scaffolded code aligned to your stack.
  • AI-assisted workflows to accelerate decisions, not automate humans.
  • Integrated docs, roadmaps, and artifacts — all in one flow, not a mess of tabs.

If that sounds like a lot… yeah, it is. I’m not there yet.

But that’s where I’m going.

Where I’m Actually At

Right now? Early.

Here’s what’s already moving:

  • Website is live
  • Development Infra is ready.
  • Team is grinding through the roadmap.
  • Talking to early users (if you’re one of them, thanks for your patience).
  • Failing fast, correcting course faster.

Who I’m Building This For

People like me:

  • Founders trying to ship MVPs without burning out.
  • Developers tired of context-switching and process theater.
  • Indie hackers who hate reinventing login pages and role-based permissions every damn time.

If you see yourself in this, come hang out. Or just lurk and watch me figure it out in public.

No Marketing Spin. Just Building.

I’ll post progress here.

I’ll share mistakes.

I’ll share what works.

I’m not in a rush, but I am impatient.

Let’s build better. Together. Or at least complain about it together.
